Chasing a Dream: Building a Women’s Retreat Space in Kalymnos

If you asked me to name a place where my soul feels at home, my answer would always be the same—Kalymnos. There’s something about this island that captured my heart from the moment I stepped off the ferry. Maybe it’s the rugged cliffs that seem to whisper adventure, or the warm breeze that carries the scent of salt and wild herbs. Maybe it’s the slower pace of life, the genuine kindness of the people, or the way the sun sets over the Aegean in a burst of colors I still can’t quite describe. Whatever it is, Kalymnos feels like where I’m meant to be.

For years, I’ve carried this quiet dream—a dream of creating a women’s retreat space here. A sanctuary where women can come to move, breathe, rest, and reconnect with themselves. A place where adventure meets restoration, where we can climb under the Mediterranean sun, stretch our bodies with morning yoga, and share meals filled with laughter, stories, and delicious local food.

I don’t just want to create a retreat. I want to build a community. A place where women from all walks of life—whether they’re seasoned climbers, outdoor enthusiasts, or just craving a break from the weight of daily life—can feel welcome. A space where strength isn’t just about muscles, but about resilience, courage, and showing up for yourself.

I imagine mornings starting with gentle movement—maybe yoga on a terrace overlooking the sea—followed by strong coffee and conversations about life, adventure, and everything in between. Days would be filled with climbing sessions led by local guides, herbal walks with a Kalymnian healer, and workshops focused on nervous system care, mobility, and mindset. Evenings would wrap up with nourishing dinners under the stars, maybe with a glass of local wine and the kind of conversations you remember long after the trip ends.

But this dream isn’t just about me. It’s about creating a space where women can press pause, step away from their daily grind, and experience a kind of healing that only comes from being surrounded by nature, community, and a sense of belonging.

I want to offer women the same gift Kalymnos has given me—the chance to feel strong, capable, and fully alive.

This dream feels big, but it’s one I’m ready to chase with my whole heart. If you’ve ever felt drawn to a place, a purpose, or a wild idea that just won’t let go, then you know exactly how I feel.

Kalymnos isn’t just a destination to me. It’s home for a dream I’m ready to bring to life.

If you want to follow along, support, or even join me on this journey, I’d love to have you. Whether you’re dreaming of future retreats, curious about how this all unfolds, or just here to cheer me on—thank you for being part of this adventure.

Here’s to big dreams, beautiful places, and the magic that happens when women come together.
